Policy Questionnaire for Orange County Supervisor Candidates

Dear Candidate,
On behalf of the Korean American Vietnam War Veterans Association, we
respectfully submit the following policy questions.
Our members are veterans who served alongside U.S. forces and are now proud
American citizens and residents of Orange County.
We seek your position on key issues affecting veterans, particularly those related
to recognition, benefits, and access to services.
We kindly request your written response.
Questions: 1. Veterans Cemetery (Gypsum Canyon)
Do you support the development of the Southern California Veterans Cemetery at
Gypsum Canyon in Anaheim? If elected, how will you actively support and
expedite this project?
2. Equal Benefits (Valor Act / HR 366
Do you support equal veterans’ benefits for Korean Vietnam War veterans who
Later became U.S. citizens, as proposed in the Valor Act (HR 366)?
How will you advocate for this issue at the county or federal level?
3. Veterans Services Access
What specific measures will you take to improve access to veterans’ services
(healthcare, housing, counseling) for aging veterans in Orange County?
4. Recognition of Allied Veterans
Do you support formal recognition of allied veterans, including Korean Vietnam
War veterans, in county-sponsored memorials and programs?
5. Direct Engagement

If elected, are you willing to meet sometimes with our association to discuss
veterans’ issues and collaborate on solutions?

1. 애너하임 Gypsum Canyon 지역에 계획된 남가주 재향군인 묘지 조성을 지지하십니까?

당선될 경우, 이 사업을 어떻게 적극적으로 지원하고 추진하실 계획입니까?

2. 미국 시민이 된 한국군 월남전 참전용사들에게 미군과 동등한 보훈 혜택을 부여하는 Valor Act(HR 366)를 지지하십니까?
이 사안을 카운티 또는 연방 차원에서 어떻게 지원하실 계획이십니까?
3. 오렌지 카운티 고령 참전용사들을 위한 의료, 주거, 상담 등 보훈 서비스 접근성을 어떻게 개선하실 계획이십니까?
4. 한국군 월남전 참전용사를 포함한 동맹군 참전용사들을 카운티 공식 기념사업 및 프로그램에서 인정하는 것에 대해 어떻게 생각하십니까?
